TEC-CH Blog: Scrapblog

Scrapblog

Ever made a scrapbook when you were a child? Now the experience of cutting, pasting, stickers and creative captions can all be re-created online. Call it a fancy PowerPoint presentation or your own special digital album, whatever you like, Scrapblog allows you to use all kinds of fun gadgets to enhance your collections of online photos and memories. To throw in a geeky museum-related thought, one can create and interpret his own exhibition of travel photos, art works, or even hockey cards and share it with your friends for a private viewing. It will sure serve as a useful exercise if one day you are required to interpret images and write your own text panels.

That's a copy of the message that I left "Scrapblog" personnally. If you have your page that you are working on marked as PRIVATE, they still have sneaky little ways of sneaking into your site when you are offline and if they do not like your work they will delete your page. They have deleted two of mine already; a recipe by saying it was offensive and not like everyone elses. The leading line said "Black and White" with the next line reading "Triple Layer Bars". My other work was a Valentine card to my husband and apparently it wasn't up to their standards. I myself think they should be shutdown or at least be made to adhere to the definitions of Private.

Hello tlcarrin,

Thanks for your note and I'm sorry to hear about your trouble with Scrapblog. The TEC-CH blog and myself are not in any position to pursue any action regarding this incident (sorry), but I managed to look up Scrapblog's terms of service which we all agreed to upon registration and here is what I found:

"While Scrapblog is not responsible for and does not review the images, graphics, video, audio files, messages, blogs, text or other content or materials (collectively "Submissions") provided by Scrapblog users, Scrapblog reserves the right to delete Submissions that Scrapblog deems, in its sole discretion, unacceptable for any reason."

However, if you feel that their judgement is unreasonable, I suggest you directly complain to Scrapblog.

Hope this helps.

Jen.
